As a Tower Technician, you will assist in the construction, installation, and maintenance of communications tower and support structures. Area of Responsibilities for Tower Technician:
· Climbing, rigging, and working on communications towers for the purpose of installing, replacing, and repairing antenna systems equipment; performs basic tower maintenance.
· The basic use of computers and software to complete job close out packages.
· Knowing the hazards associated with tower climbing, construction equipment, and working on or near energized lines and equipment.
· The ability to climb tall structures (300 feet or more) with 50 lb. load.
· Analyzing situations accurately and adopt an appropriate course of action.
· Communicating orally and in writing.
· Following instructions accurately and complete assigned course of action.
· Recognizing safety hazards and performing duties in a safe manner.
Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Possession of a valid driver license and clean Motor Vehicle record
· Ability to pass a background check to meet requirements to access government and utility facilities including military bases
· Willingness to travel as the job required
· A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
· OSHA 10 (OSHA 30 Preferred)
· Competent Climber & competent Rigger Certification from Industry recognized Certification program (Comtrain preferred)
