TOWER TECH II / III Top Hand
Wavcomm Inc. is Wireless Communications Company located in Sacramento California in immediate need of Top Tower Techs.
Willing to assist with relocation for the right person or crew.
Responsibilities
1. Maintain customer infrastructure, expansion, and upgrades to existing wireless networks – tower modifications, Antenna and Line work, Maintenance and Repairs.
2. Good Comprehension of site documents such as CDs, Design data sheets, structural analyses, tower mount analyses, tower modification design drawings, etc.
3. Safely and efficiently complete equipment installations and upgrades at elevated heights
4. Be able to Test, troubleshoot, and clear alarms. Observe and report an defects or hazards in equipment and work site
5. Track job costs, including labor hours and material
6. Perform pre-work and post-work site audits
7. Follow through with scope of work and methods of procedures (MOPs)
8. Perform material inventory upon delivery
9. Assist with training Tower Tech I and II
10. Lead crew members as required

Qualifications
3+ years of experience climbing towers or work in elevated conditions
Valid Driver’s License required
Ability to successfully obtain certifications such as: Authorized Climber, Authorized Rescuer, ANSI A10.48 Rigging Certification, Capstan Operations, RF Awareness, OSHA 10, First Aid, and CPR
Ability and attitude to follow rigid job safety standards and properly utilize specialized Personal Protective Equipment
Willingness to climb communication towers, and work for extended periods at 100’ +, for the purpose of installing, repairing, constructing, and maintaining various communication systems
Willingness to take on and learn new tasks and skills
Ability to work effectively as an individual or a member of a team
Working Conditions
Walk, crawl or kneel / use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls / reach with hands and arms / climb ladders, stairs, or other elevated/ fixed structures for extended periods of time
Sit/stand for extended periods of time
Lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
Perform duties on-site and underground at industrial locations
Wear safety equipment: as per OSHA/MSHA/ANSI requirements including but not limited steel toed and/or metatarsal shoes, hard hat, required PPE for elevated work, fire retardant clothing, protective eye wear, etc.
Be safety and customer-focused, without exception
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
This position requires the completion of a thorough background and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. In accordance with The Company’s Drug and Alcohol policy, employees are required to participate in random, post-accident and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing as requested.
