Summary:
The RF Drive Tester will travel in and around a site’s area of coverage and use testing equipment to measure radio frequency signals. The RF Driver Tester will record and report these measurements back to the Radio Frequency team and/or Project Managers.
Responsibilities:
Conduct various types of RF testing in the field of 5G and 4G/LTE
RF testing may be driving in assigned cluster, stationary/spot testing or walk tests in some cases.
Perform Data Collection on 5G/LTE/3G network using XCAL/R&S/TEMS/Solutelia/Nemo software
Execute the required test scripts as per the defined test scope.
Perform Cluster/SSV testing using Microsoft Street and Google Earth
Perform drive testing and capture Download/Upload throughput on the data collection S/W
Perform ATP (Acceptance Test Performance ) drive test and check the handovers/functionality test of all the sectors for Data and Voice calls
Upload data to server several times during the day for analysis.
Review layer 3 messages, investigate and resolve wireless network issue.
Validate accuracy of data after completing the testing and upload Error Free drive test data
Ensure drive test data is stored on FTP server in a well-organized file structure readily available for clients for the present and the future use.
Bonus: RF propagation/CDMA/OFDM, Understanding of Physical/MAC layers and Call Processing concepts
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Based in San Diego, CA.
Willingness to Travel around South California and San Diego County areas.
Some knowledge or experience with LTE/5G technologies
Knowledge and experience with Data Collection tools such as XCAL, TEMS, NEMO
Hard working, quick learner and has good personal standards on self-accountability.
Keep open communication with team and provide periodic updates to the team.
