Responsibilities:
• Manage “top side” operations alongside the Crew Foreman
• Delegate tasks to employees in the tower
• Initiate and manage aerial tower crew performance
• Ability to read and execute construction documents and RFDS with accuracy
• Ability to operate testing equipment and perform tape drops with proficiency
• Install and decommission communications equipment and associated hardware, coax, and hybrid trunks
• Perform weatherproofing and color coding, route power/fiber, and perform grounds
• Capable of plumbing
• Take site progress photos, and execute the VQA/VSS process
• Daily climbing of tower structure(s) such as self-support towers, guyed towers, monopoles, water towers, and rooftops to complete job tasks
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Loading and unloading of site material and equipment from truck and trailer at shop and on the job site
• Cleaning and organizing of truck and trailer and the restocking of material
• Inspection of PPE, OPE, PFAs and rigging equipment
• Contribution to JHA to control or eliminate potential hazards
• Continued education, training and certifications as related to tower work
• Communicate build status/updates/changes/issues to Crew Foreman and other personnel as appropriate
• Direct employee workflow in the tower
• Complete daily driver logs
Requirements:
• 18 Years of Age
• Current Driver’s License (Chauffeurs)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience of installation in wireless communication equipment installation
• Must be skillful in rigging a tower
• Experience driving a truck and trailer preferred
