Safety is the cornerstone of our operations and integral to our identity. To further strengthen our commitment to safety, we are seeking a Safety Director to facilitate, oversee, and document our safety operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that our robust safety focus continues to thrive.
Job Description: As the Safety Director, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all safety programs and policies within the organization. You will ensure compliance with industry regulations, promote a culture of safety, and lead initiatives to minimize risks and enhance the well-being of our employees and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and policies.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
Lead safety training, awareness programs and committees for employees.
Investigate and report on incidents and accidents.
Collaborate with other departments to promote a culture of safety.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging safety trends.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or at least 5 years of safety leadership experience.
Proven experience as a Safety Director or similar role in construction or the telecommunications industry.
In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to analyze data and develop effective safety strategies.
Professional Certification in safety (e.g., CSP, CHST, CUSP, CIH) is a plus.
Preferred Specific Training (CPR/FA Instructor, OSHA 500, Rigging, Human Performance, Cell Towers/Structures, Radio Frequency)
