Job description:

  • Travel regularly to project sites
    • Climb and work on telecommunications towers
    • Install, maintain, and inspect wireless communication systems
    • Assist with antenna, radio, fiber, RF, and coax installation
    • Perform testing, labeling, and closeout documentation
    • Follow all company and industry safety procedures
    • Work efficiently within crew-based environments to meet project schedules
    • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements & Preferred Experience

  • Telecommunications, tower, construction, or related field experience strongly preferred
  • Tower climbing and rigging experience preferred
  • Experience with antenna, radio, fiber, RF, and coax installation preferred
  • Experience with tower erection and modification work preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced field environments
  • Strong work ethic with a willingness to continue learning and developing within the industry
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
  • Good written and verbal communication skills required
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors and at elevated heights
  • Must be willing and able to travel for extended periods (typically 4–6 weeks at a time)
  • Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record required
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card

Physical Demands & Work Site Conditions

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, crawl, climb, and use hands and fingers extensively throughout the workday
  • Must be able to bend at the waist and knees repetitively
  • Ability to lift and carry 75+ lbs regularly
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges, including the ability to differentiate between colors
  • Ability to climb and work at heights in excess of 150 feet, with most work performed below 400 feet
  • Must be prepared to work outdoors in hot, cold, and varying weather conditions for extended periods
  • Ability to travel for extended periods of time based on project needs
  • Ability to safely handle and operate repetitive-use hand and power tools on job sites
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under time constraints, pressure, and physically demanding conditions

Candidates must be able to report to headquarters in Champaign for mobilization and are responsible for reliable transportation to and from headquarters.
